About
-
Third-person puzzle-adventure inspired by classic Zelda, built around a rune combination system and keeping vocabulary small while the solution space stays deep.
-
Developed as my Master's thesis at UCM alongside studio Quite a Coven, published by Voxel School and Padaone Games. Coming soon to Steam as Free to Play.
-
The core design challenge was building a systemic magic language — something the player gains fluency in over time, not a spell list they memorise.
My Contribution
Game Design
Systems, mechanics, and loops that build meaningful player experiences.
- Participated in core concept and game pillars definition
- Defined the rune system rules and interaction logic
- Contributed to how combinability scales across the full game
Level Design
Spaces that guide, surprise, and give the player agency.
- Designed and documented levels with spatial flow and puzzle structure
- Defined pacing and progression within each area
Technical Design
Bridging design and code with engine tools.
- Built level blockouts (greyboxing) directly in UE5
- Iterated on layouts based on playtesting feedback
- Implemented specific gameplay functionalities in Blueprints
Documentation
Keeping the whole team aligned on design intent.
- Maintained and updated GDD, level documents, and mechanic specs
- Acted as bridge between design, art, and programming teams
